Work Packages

Work Package: 1 Environmental Assessment and Support Needs for land, surface and underwater surveillance of people and infrastructure

Action 1.1 State of the Art & Finalization on the Plan. Bibliographic review of modern technologies and finalization of the implementation plan of the project with a clear definition of the plan for the implementation of the project.

Action 1.2 Finalization of Needs and Formulation of Specification of Integrated Subsystem Support Methodology. Finalization of the methodological approach for the design and the implementation of monitoring subsystems.

Work Package 2: IoT Design and Implementation

Action 2.1 IoT network infrastructure’s creation (RF and/ or mobile based on the optimal/ uninterrupted connectivity) The system architecture is characterized by its ability to support small, medium and large networks of interconnected devices- sensors.

Action 2.2 Upload device data to the cloud. Connection via WiFi or NB/LTE IOT or 5G or mobile Internet of IoT Gateway with the cloud

Action 2.3 Editing, analyzing and managing data in the field (edge gateway). Immediate data processing refers to the execution of clustering, data handling, bandwidth reduction and other algorithms directly to the IoT Gateway.

Work Package 3: Design, Implementation of industrial prototypes of surface staff protection

Action 3.1 Implemantation of hardware and software (firmware for sensors). The implementation of industrial prototypes concerns the following subsystems:
Staff status monitoring subsystem
Staff location subsystem
Outdoor “target” recording subsystem

Action 3.2 Subsystem- Gateway connection Connection of the above subsystems, via ISM band, with the Gateway.

Work Package 4: Design, Implementation of industrial prototypes of infrastructure integrity monitoring

Action 4.1 Implementation of hardware and software (firmware for sensors). The implementation of industrial prototypes concerns the following subsystems:
Anchor break test/ warning
Anchor displacement monitoring
Anchorage sinking control/ warning

Action 4.2 Subsystem- Gateway connection Connection of the above subsystems, via ISM band, with the Gateway. Development of appropriate middleware for two-way communication subsystems-gateway.

Work Package 5: Design and Implementation of Industrial Prototypes for divers protection

Action 5.1 Implementation of hardware and software (firmware for sensors). The implementation of industrial prototypes concerns the following subsystems:
Innovative audio signal communication system
Divers’ detection
Recording and transmission on the surface of important parameters (Oxygen etc)

Action 5.2 Subsystem- Gateway connection Connection of the above subsystems, via ISM band, with the Gateway. Development of appropriate middleware for two-way communication subsystems- gateway.

Work Package 6: Design, Implementation of Industrial Prototypes of Multifactorial Data Analysis. .

Action 6.1 Development of a multifactorial data analysis application. Development of an environment, data-graph storage system and application of incident prioritization based on risk- incidents ranking module.

Action 6.2 Development of a multifactorial data analysis of event data( involvement of human resources and anchorages- infrastructure) Implementation of incidents profiling model, use of machine learning model supervised training and evaluation.

Work Package 7: Subsystem Integration and SAFEGUARD Pilot Operations.

Action 7.1 Pilot Operation in 3 Representative Units

Action 7.2 Ultization of Conclusions and Finalization of the Methodological Approaches.

Implementation of SAFEGUARD Sustainability, Results Utilization and Scalability Plan.
